1. Concept Creation
Creating content comes with risk. Taking on the task alone can be daunting, and the consequences can cost more than just money. It’s important to team up and build a relationship with someone willing to prove they share your vision. We want to be mutually invested. Think of this as the “try before you buy” model, but know that Sherlock Holmes once said, “Of great benefit to being a consulting detective is that I can pick and choose my clients.”
We will work with you to create a cover for your book that you are passionate about. Please share any examples of covers that you like, and we will draw inspiration from those to draft some options worth discussing.
In order to protect your intellectual property, we will sign a mutual nondisclosure agreement. Then, we will request the interior material for your book so we can create a pre-press, print-ready file for you. If you need design assets created for the interior, or if you need the copy proofread and edited, we will consult with you to come up with a viable option.
We will create a PDF version of your book that is protected so that it cannot be printed or edited. This can be a great tool for you to use when you want to offer a free version of your book to someone. We will also feature your watermark on each page to protect your intellectual property and spread brand awareness.
We have experience with Amazon and Ingram Spark, and we will publish your eBook on both platforms in order to maximize distribution. We will even obtain print quotes for physical copies of your book in quantities of 500 and 1,000 at a minimum. We will also consult with you about launching your publication properly.
A media kit is a powerful tool designed to drive revenue by showing the services your business offers. It is an integral part to any sales team even if you do that yourself. Think of it as your digital advocate when someone wants to know, “What do you do?”
We will create a X-page PDF media kit that represents your business. Together, we will converse to complete the drafting process involved.
We will create a professional, one-page biography. This can list your accolades, tell your personal story, and feature the face of your business. It can act as your resume or simply answer the question, “Who are you?”
A brand book enables any team to pick up on the overall mood and feel of your business through design assets. We will work with you to identify a logo, primary and secondary colors, approved imagery, iconography, typography, and a business card.
A Single Liquidating Offer (SLO) is something you offer for free in exchange for the ability to market to someone. The simplest example of this would be giving away the first three chapters of your book in exchange for someone’s name, email address, and phone number. This allows them to preview your content, and it allows you to follow up with additional content before asking for a sale. We will work with you to identify where we think your content could provide the best value to your audience to make a powerful first impression.
We want to share your investment, so we want to meet the standards we set. Communication is key, so we will schedule bi-weekly Zoom video conference calls to check in. However, we will also request and review information together regularly over the course of our contract.
